About Mollie…..
Mollie Plummer’s own story, like her artwork, is continuously
evolving.
About twenty years ago, Mollie was a single mother working as a nurse at a small
Midwestern hospital. During that same time, she put herself through art school
and graduated with top honors.
Mollie began doing private portraiture work from her kitchen after her children
were tucked into bed at night. She soon opened her first studio in a neighborhood
village. She hosted gourmet dinners for guests in the gallery, surrounded by her
works.
Mollie’s work is recognized in multiple awards and exhibitions. Public institutions,
as well as private individuals, in Japan, Europe, South America, and the United States
collect her work.
Currently, Mollie maintains her studio on a mesa overlooking Colorado Springs with a panoramic view of Pikes Peak and the Front Range mountains. She travels throughout the country teaching courses in the creative process to professional organizations. Her list of private clients, most of whom become lifelong friends, continues to grow in cities and towns throughout the US. A rescued collection of fur-bearing companions keeps her company on walks in the Colorado foothills.
Her children and grandchildren keep Mollie and her husband in touch with their young
sides. She especially loves to use her art to benefit charities devoted to children
and animals. Being able to share her art with others is one of her deepest joys.
Her heartfelt hope is that those who encounter her work can be surrounded by an
essence of peace.
